You can consider the Ace3DS+ clones to be a cheaper R4i Gold 3DS Plus but without RTS. This cart also runs Wood R4, which is how it gets all its robust compatibility in the first place. The R4i Gold 3DS Plus, the other cartridge that the pinned message tells you to get, is out of stock and will likely stay that way. This means that pretty much whatever you throw at this cartridge should work as long as you're using the kernel linked above. The Wood R4 kernel, to date, has the best compatibility out of all kernels, and nothing has surpassed that yet, not even TWiLight Menu++. If anything, it won't be because your console is too new. That's a good thing since you can just pick this card up, and you won't have to worry about the card not working in your console. This means that every DS, DSi and 3DS are compatible with this card. Most people have reported this Ace3DS+ working on the latest 3DS system software, and I can vouch for that.

Personally, I'd rather use the emulators that you can install to your 3DS or DSi with CFW for the sake of better performance. But if that is something you like, then go ahead and enjoy yourself. They just used the latest versions of other homebrew emulators.

It appears to come bundled with emulators. That also means that it's easily accessible even if you lose it. This means that the kernel the real Ace3DS+ used works on this card. I mentioned earlier that it is a 1:1 Ace3DS+ clone. the fresh kernel is actually available here.

I will not be looking at the preinstalled games in this review however, I can tell you that they're all trimmed hot garbage, and I suggest getting your own ROMs in there. This means that, since the kernel is there, it will work OOTB, and you will never be one of those people in this subreddit that asks, "please help me find kernel from 14 years ago" over and over again. This card doesn't have any of that.Īll you get is the cartridge and a really cheap unbranded SD card with its kernel and preinstalled games. If you feel a real Nintendo cartridge, you have this sturdiness feel. Put a bit of pressure on it, and the plastic flexes. One normally "feels" the first impression quality of a flashcard by touching the plastic.
